This is one of the stronger grades of Manuka Honey from Comvita and the UMF 18+ label indicates that it contains a high level of the naturally occurring elements that make manuka honey so sought after.
Comvita has its own bee hives that are located in some of New Zealand’s most beautiful and pristine areas in the north of the country where the bees can feed off the manuka tree, which is the source of this truly incredible honey.
Only honey that has been independently tested and verified as containing the special properties of manuka honey is allowed to carry the UMF label, and it serves as a means of protecting you the consumer. Comvita produces other UMF manuka honey that has different UMF ratings.
