This is the larger jar of Honey New Zealand’s popular UMF 10+ Manuka Honey made in New Zealand by bees feeding off the nectar of the manuka tree. The tree only grows in New Zealand and South Australia and that is part of the reason for the honey’s uniqueness.
In order to be able to use the UMF trademark, which stands for Unique Manuka Factor, the honey has to be independently tested to ensure that it meets the standards and criteria stated on the label.
The UMF rating is a measure of the honey’s purity and also that it contains the unique natural compounds that must be present for the honey to be considered a genuine manuka honey.
