Description

Description

Rowse started life as a small family company in the early 1950s in the UK and initially produced honey itself but fortunately a series of wet springs and summers in the early 1960s led to the decision to import honeys from abroad, and this is the case with this Manuka 10+ Honey, which is sourced from the other side of the world in New Zealand.

New Zealand is the main global producer of manuka honey as the manuka tree, which is the main flower source for the bees that make manuka honey grow mainly only in New Zealand. There are different types and strengths of manuka honey and not all of them have its world famous antibacterial effect or non-peroxide activity to be precise. A system of testing for this non-peroxide activity (NPA) has been developed and Rowse has its honey tested to make sure it contains this activity. This Manuka 10+ Honey has been tested and confirmed as having a moderately high NPA level of 10+.

Rowse Manuka 10+ Honey is a strong and intense flavoured honey that is characteristic of manuka honey. There is a long list of health benefits associated with manuka honey starting with its antibacterial effect, but it also helps boost the immune system and contains antioxidants as well as minerals and vitamins. It is nature’s power house and this has been confirmed by continuous research too.

You can eat a little every day by the teaspoonful or then use it as a sweetener in your tea or coffee (children under the age of one are not advised to eat honey).
